ZHANG Han Jun was born in 1945. He graduated in 1967 from the French Faculty of the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Languages, and then obtained a DEA in economic anthropology at the E.H.E.S.S. He was a speakers at the CELSA-Université Paris Sorbonne. A Chinese writer in France, he specialises in the history of Chinese workers in Europe during the First World War. A bilingual Chinese-French speakers, he speaks in France, China and Africa.
He participated in the documentary film Les Oubliés chinois de la Grande Guerre directed in 2018 by Régis Prévot.

Much of his work concentrates on the Ming Dynasty of China (1368-1644), with additional interests in the art of 20th century and contemporary China. Before working at the Oxford University, he worked as a curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum, and taught art history at the University of Sussex and the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. His most recent book is Chinese Painting and Its Audiences (2017). Several of these books have been translated into Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Mary has had a career ranging from international finance to propaganda art. At the British Museum, she works as project curator of the Chinese paintings, prints and Central Asian collections and Chinese ceramics. Her presentation will illustrate the revival of woodblock print making, exemplified by Lu Xun and how it has influenced revolution, propaganda and art of China.

She has worked in various organisations and companies over the past twenty years, including Central St Martin's College of Art and Design, National Art Library of V&A Museum, Westminster University, Wesizwe Platinum Ltd in South Africa. She will talk about some outstanding permanent collections and works from the Muban Educational Trust in the lecture.
Specializing in religious music, Mr. Picard has been professor of ethnomusicological analysis at the Sorbonne in Paris since 1998, has published several books on music, has been artistic director for more than 30 recordings, and plays flute and harmonica in orchestras.
Qiu Jinxian is a senior antique restorer at the British Museum. As the first and currently the only Chinese restorer from a British and European museum, she brought her mastery of Chinese painting and calligraphy restoration to the UK over 30 years ago, giving new life to countless ancient Chinese paintings and calligraphy.
Dr. Lu Yuping is a Fellow and Head of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy in the Asia Department of the British Museum.
Joël Bellassen, who studied Chinese language and literature at both Beijing Language and Culture University and Peking University in the early 1970s, earned his PhD in Sinology from Paris Diderot University in 1978. He has served as the Inspector General of Chinese for the French Ministry of National Education and a professor at the National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations (Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales) in Paris.
Zhu Mu, courtesy name Zhi Xia, is a native of Wuxi, Jiangsu. He is a director of the French Literary Research Society, a private collector, and a Sino-French cultural scholar. Currently employed in the financial sector, he has been dedicated to the research of the history of French literature translation and publication, as well as the history of Sino-French cultural exchange since the establishment of the Sino-French Common Text Library. He has conducted academic lectures on topics such as "Storing Treasures in Boxes: A Brief Discussion on the Collection of Social Sciences and Humanities Books Translated from French into Chinese" and "Old Books in the Western Wind: French Literature in Ancient Paper" at Peking University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and Capital Normal University. His articles have been published in newspapers, magazines, and relevant websites.
Li Xiaohong is a scholar based in France. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Aldova and a Researcher at the Sorbonne University's Institute of Far Eastern Studies. Her doctoral thesis "Celestial Dragon: Genesis of the Iconography of the Chinese Dragon" (Céleste Dragon, Genèse de l’iconographie du dragon chinois) received the Prix Stanislas Julien from the French Academy (Institut de France, Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres) in 2001, published by Youfeng Bookstore in 2000. Her main areas of research include ancient Chinese dragon and phoenix texts and images, Chinese calligraphy and painting, modern Chinese art history in France, history of sinology in France, and Dunhuang studies. She has published over 70 papers or translations in journals such as "Dunhuang Research".
Dong Chun is a member of the Chinese Writers' Association, a guest reporter for TV5 Monde (1996-2012), China Lu Xun Literature Prize for Literary Translation (2001), and Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres de la République Française (1991). Mr. Rémi Mathieu, like a treasure, is an introverted and shining jewel of French Sinology. A French sinologist, who spent his whole life buried in the study of sinology, used his rich and thick knowledge structure and broad vision to make efforts and contributions to French sinology. He is the cultural ferryman mentioned by Mr. Dong Chun. It is the French scholarly system mentioned in Mr. Li Xiaohong's lecture, which allows those who really do scholarly work to do so with peace of mind. To use the title of Mr. Zhu Mu's lecture: "Returning to Tassie with the Foliage", I would say that the people who do their studies silently are the very people who do their studies. The people who do scholarly work silently are the ones who give away the fragrance.
Young translator, writer, literary critic, translation theory scholar, young educator. Born in 1934 in Jaraíz de la Vera, Muñoz came to China in 1978. After years of work in education and corporate management, he founded the first Spanish enterprise in China—a business consulting company focused on the Chinese market. For this pioneering achievement, he is hailed as a trailblazer among Spanish entrepreneurs in China.
In 2012, Muñoz established the Spanish think tank "China Forum," which brought together over a hundred Spaniards from various sectors who have worked or are working in China. The forum aims to enhance understanding of China in the Spanish-speaking world and deepen the bilateral friendship between Spain and China.
Having lived in China for many years, Muñoz extensively visited numerous cities and villages, keenly observing and analyzing the profound transformations in Chinese society over the past decades. He engaged in in-depth discussions with many leading figures in China's civil society and authored several books about China, including "The Mystery of China" (2008), "China in 2050" (2012), "China in the 21st Century" (2018), and "Return to China" (2022). His works have helped more Spanish readers understand the real China and promoted dialogue and exchange between China and Spain.
