28A Historiographical Review of French Scholarship on Excavated Texts from the Pre-Qin and Han Periods
SpeakerOlivier VENTURE

In this lecture, Professor Feng Yicheng, with academic rigor and profound scholarship, provides a systematic overview of nearly a century of French sinological research on excavated texts from the Pre-Qin and Han periods.
Through his presentation, we catch a glimpse of the depth and breadth of French sinology—shaped by generations of scholars who have quietly toiled over bamboo slips and oracle bones. Their sustained efforts and accumulated knowledge have contributed significantly to the flourishing state of French sinology today and to the study and preservation of ancient Chinese texts.
This lecture is not only an academic session, but also a cultural journey—one that should not be missed.
